ATP synthase in rat brain neurons

چکیده
Mitochondrial ATP synthase is the main enzyme of synthesis. A large number diseases, including neurodegenerative ones, are associated with disorders its assembly and functioning. The aim work to reveal patterns features regional distribution in neurons rat brain structures, a quantitative assessment content at cellular level. study was carried out on material from 5 outbred white male rats. Paraffin sections were stained by Nissl method identify structures cervical segments spinal cord, for immunohistochemical method; 102 studied cytophotometrically. Immunoreactivity found all high heterogeneity, while most characterised moderate synthase. phylogenetically older divisions. also depends layer cortex position reflex arc. In cord not only size neurons, but gray matter layer.

42 We have previously shown that ATP within the PVN induces an increase in sympathetic activity; 43 an effect attenuated by the antagonism of P2 and/or glutamatergic receptors. Here, we evaluated 44 precise cellular mechanisms underlying the ATP-glutamate interaction in the PVN, and assessed 45 whether this receptor coupling contributed to osmotically-driven sympathetic PVN neuronal 46 activity...
متن کاملRegulation of the mitochondrial ATP synthase in rat heart.
Introduction lJnder normal physiological conditions, the heart is fully aerobic with over 90% of its ATP made in the mitochondria by oxidative phosphorylation. It is vital, therefore, that mitochondrial ATP synthesis is closely balanced with ATP use during contraction, so that a steady-state level of ATP (typically about 5 pmol/g of wet weight) can be maintained. When ATP is used more quickly (...

All living species use ATP as a general source of energy by hydrolysing it into ADP and phosphate. In most species the regeneration of this vital molecule is catalysed by the H+-transporting F1F0 ATP synthases, marvellous machines that couple the flow of protons down an electrochemical gradient to form ATP from ADP and phosphate. Under certain circumstances these enzymes can also work in the re...
متن کاملCannabinoids inhibit ATP-activated currents in rat trigeminal ganglionic neurons.
The present study aimed to investigate whether cannabinoids could modulate the response mediated by ATP receptor (P2X purinoceptor). Whole-cell patch-clamp recording was performed on cultured rat trigeminal ganglionic (TG) neurons. The majority of TG neurons were sensitive to ATP (67/75, 89.33%). Extracellular pretreatment with WIN55212-2, a cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1 receptor) agonist, reduce...
متن کاملQuick guide: ATP synthase
denotes the soluble catalytic headgroup where ATP synthesis and hydrolysis occur, and F o is the ion-translocating membrane domain (see Figure). What is it? An enzyme that uses energy from the transmembrane proton electrochemical gradient, generated by oxidative metabolism or photosynthesis, to produce ATP from ADP and P i. The enzyme can also act in reverse, hydrolysing ATP and pumping H + or ...
